Toggles and closures

Toggles have an oblong shape and are probably the oldest example of a button. They are made with holes or openings and mostly attached with loops instead of buttonholes. Toggles are the most important feature of duffel coats and traditional costumes. They are usually used in cloaks and vests.

The most traditional toggles are made from real horn in combination with leather loops or cord.

Toggles of metal, polyester and other materials give a more fashionable appearance.
